Chemnitz, 28.11.2023
On November 24, the German IT Security Association (TeleTrust) hosted its 46th general meeting in Berlin. Alongside 37 other members, digitronic also accepted the TeleTrust’s invitation.
Twelve agenda items were discussed during the three-and-a-half-hour meeting. In addition to a review of the years 2022/2023 by Managing Director Dr. Mühlbauer and CEO Prof. Dr. Pohlmann, the participants were also given an outlook for 2024:
It could be stated that the IT security situation in Germany in 2023 was tense to critical. This was not least due to the growing threat posed by ransomware attacks. The European Union responded with resolutions such as the NIS 2 Directive, which will come into force on October 24, 2024.
The aspect of AI within IT security was also discussed under the aspect of the state of the art. Just two weeks later, the EU published its first law on the use and regulation of AI.
Looking ahead to the new year, an overview was given of upcoming national and international trade fairs in which TeleTrust is participating. In particular, the American RSA was highlighted and presented again separately as a selected working group in the subsequent agenda item. The working group already met on November 17. digitronic also took part in this first meeting and is looking forward to participating in America.
Following the official part of the general meeting, we had a personal conversation with Prof. Dr. Pohlmann. He recommended the IT Security Marketplace website, where IT security providers present their products. Grateful for the tip, digitronic is now also represented there with its security product portfolio.
