In May of this year, the industry association for the German information and telecommunications sector, bitkom, published that the use of faxes within German companies had fallen by 40 percent compared to the previous year.
And although this development is so recessive, 82 percent of companies in Germany still fax, a third even frequently to very frequently. This means that this telecommunications tool is (still) indispensable in German industry – just like our in-house unified messaging solution “digitronic UMS”. Both regular customers and, above all, new customers continue to rely on these proven technologies: mail-to-fax and fax-to-mail for a digital, paperless office, customer notifications or alerts via SMS, digital answering machines where the flexibility of many a telephone system fails.
“digitronic UMS” is continuously being developed to meet customer and market requirements. The latest version, “digitronic UMS 8.0”, will soon be released on October 16th.
In addition to on-premise infrastructures, hybrid or cloud infrastructures are of course also supported (e.g. Microsoft 365). Modern technologies and the consistent use of standardized interfaces ensure maximum flexibility and security.
